JOPLIN, MO.--- Ozark Christian College is holding a 3 day "Preaching and Teaching" convention this week. More than 700 people are registered for the event, it includes 8 preaching sessions, 50 seminars, teen events, children's sessions, and an alumni banquet.

The speakers will address topics like living purposefully, speaking carefully, and suffering patiently. Organizers say they're excited for the event to help others in their lives.

"We want them to go back home with inspiration and energy and a challenge to work harder for the Lord, and to do a better job in their communities and with their people," says Meredith Williams, OCC Media Director.

This is the 68th year for the convention which continues until tomorrow evening.
