LAMAR, MO.--- Schools in Lamar have an ongoing problem with leaking roofs. Earlier this week, a portion of the roof at the Lamar Vocational School had more water coming in than usual. Rain seeped through part of the roof, drenching some equipment.

The superintendent says the remaining snow on the roof could continue leaking in once it melts. He says these are prime examples of why the school needs a bond issue, that would fix this problem, to pass.

"This is definitely a priority problem along with heating and air conditioning, so we are really hopeful that it passes this time," said Dr. Dennis Wilson, Lamar Schools Superintendent.

Voters can decide on a no-tax increase bond issue on April 2nd. It would extend a current bond levy generating $8.5 million.
