JOPLIN, MO.--- The local nonprofit organization "Connect2Culture" is officially open for business. The new group celebrated with a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Joseph Newman Innovation Center. "Connect2Culture" supports area arts organizations, promotes organizations events, and spreads the word about educational opportunities.

Emily Frankoski is the first staff member and tells us she's eager to be a part of an umbrella group which supports all of Joplin's art organizations. "I'm excited to have Connect2Culture established in Joplin and to meet with all the area arts organization, and see what we can do for them to help them out."

She believes it's important to have cultural arts in the community because it enhances the overall culture of the city.
