WEBB CITY, MO.---- Webb City tenants at 110 west 1st Street had their water turned off on Monday. City administrators say they've tried to contact the owner and the loan company, but no one has come forward to take responsibility.

Payments for the water bill has not been received for 2 months. That adds up to more than $2,000 in bills. Webb City administrators say that forced them to turn off the water, but their main concern is the safety and health of the tenants.

"There's no owner stepping up and taking responsibility for the building. No body is cleaning. No body is maintaining it. I would say at this point in time, it's time to move out," said Carl Francis, Webb City Interim City Administrator.

Residents say they haven't had contact with anyone in management for more than 2 months. There are a dozen units in the complex and approximately 10 of the apartments are still occupied.
