LAMAR, MO.--- Barton County Memorial Hospital is looking for a new leader. Rudy Snedigar had been CEO for 8 years, but stepped down from the position during a closed door hospital board meeting last week.

Board members have asked Finance Director Wendy Duvall to serve as interim CEO. Hospital leaders would not comment on whether Snedigar resigned or was asked to leave.

"We appreciate everything he did. He was very important to the community and to the hospital. It is our goal to maintain what we have built and to try and grow upon it," said Wendy Duvall, Interim CEO Barton County Memorial Hospital.

Duvall will serve as interim CEO at least for the next 3 months, allowing time for the board to make a decision on a permanent replacement.
