Joplin Superintendent Honored

JOPLIN, MO.--- Joplin's School Superintendent Dr. CJ Huff was honored at a reception today. He was chosen as a top 4 national finalist during a ceremony in Los Angeles last month.
The American Association of School Administrators recognized improving graduation rates., lowering the drop out rate, and establishing the Bright Futures Program. Huff says he is most proud that his recognition is based solely on the statistics of an improving school district.
"We were doing great things prior to May 22, 2011. I think that the data that we were able to present and show as we put our application together for this award demonstrates a strong commitment on the part of this community to support their children," said Dr. CJ Huff, Joplin Schools Superintendent.
Huff was awarded with a commemorative plaque to sum up his entire experience.
