CARTHAGE, MO.--- Local Boy Scouts will "Scout For Food" in neighborhoods across the Ozarks this month. Boy Scouts will collect nonperishable food items for Ozarks Food Harvest. Scouts will distribute bags on a weekend, and the following weekend they'll pick them up.

They're asking the public to supply those bags with canned foods or other nonperishable items they can donate to the Food Harvest. The scouts normally collect 1,000 cans during the drive, but this year they're hoping to surpass that number.

"Our goal is to be able to supply products to Crossline, to allow them to be able to distribute that to people in need of this area," said Doug Lown, Carthage Boy Scout Leader.

If you don't get a bag on your front step, you can contact any scout office. For more information, click here.
