JOPLIN, MO.--- Community Support Services offers support programs to children and adults with disabilities and special needs. Today, kids with the organization were putting their markers to the paper to create their dream playground.

The McDonald's Foundation and "Kaboom" have teamed up to construct an outside play area for the organization, free of charge. Kaboom designers will spend the next 12 weeks using the kids' drawings to develop a final plan for the playground.

"We have a wonderful playground that is nearby at Cunningham Park, but not a lot of accessible parts to that playground, and so it will be a thrill for all of our kids to be able to get out there and play together," said Melissa Eiken, Resource Development Manager.

The playground is scheduled to be built on May 31st and will take 1 day to construct.
