JOPLIN, MO.--- This morning, Missouri State University's Board of Governors approved an increase in tuition and fees for the 2013 - 2014 school year. This decision means undergraduate tuition will increase to $204 per credit, that's up $3.52 from the current rate.

Out of state students will pay $8 more per credit hour bringing their rate to $420. The board also announced additional enrollment fees in 3 specific college programs, as well as an increase in student service fees, room and board. University leaders say even after these increases, their tuition rate remains below the national average.
