JOPLIN, MO.--- Students from area middle and high schools visited Missouri Southern State University for the annual History Day. Students had to spotlight a changing point in history.
Some of the projects ranged from the creation of video games to the impact of World War ll. Judges say there are several criteria to picking the winner.
"Big things that I look for are, first of all, picking a topic that truly shows a turning point in history. Creating hard work, effort and understanding of the topic they choose," said Douglas Bazar, Judge.
The winner from this competition will proceed onto the state competition.
