Missouri Proposes Daylight Savings Time Year Round

By: Shayla Patrick
Updated: March 11, 2013
MISSOURI--- A Missouri lawmaker wants to banish the twice yearly ritual of changing clocks for daylight savings time. State Representative Delus Johnson of St. Joseph wants to adopt daylight savings time year-round.

House bill 340 would require that at least 20 states agree to the change before Missouri would take part. Johnson claims permanent daylight savings time would give farmers more work time in the evenings and later in the year, and promote tourism through a boost in outdoor activity in the spring and fall.
