2013 Unclaimed Property Returns

JOPLIN - In just three months nearly $ 1.5 million dollars has been returned to
account holders throughout the state.
According to the state treasurers office, that money went to just five account holders.
The state's unclaimed property fund currently holds nearly $ 700 million dollars. Treasurer Clint Zweifel hopes the unclaimed property kiosks throughout the state will help them return the assets to their rightful owners.
