Partnership for Environmental Education Spring Break Kickoff

DIAMOND, MO.--- An annual spring break program kicks-off today at area parks and historic sites. The "Partnership For Environmental Education," or PEEP Program, is designed to connect students with natural and cultural resources.
All week long students can pick up a "passport book" at the George Washington Carver Monument. Once students complete the activities inside, they will receive a stamp in the passport booklet. After visiting 6 area sites like the Carver Monument, Wildcat Glades, and the Neosho Fish Hatchery, the students will earn a special patch.
"It's a way for kids to come out and to explore natural parks, state parks, and just to have an opportunity to be out with their families and just to enjoy these wonderful wonderful sites," said Curtis Gregory, Park Ranger.
The passport book and admission to each of the sites is free of charge.
