Red Cross Mail Program

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
A portion of a popular mail service program has been discontinued in light of the recent postal system bio-terrorist attacks. The Department of Defense and the American Red Cross has reconsidered the any service member mail program. To ensure the safety of deployed Red Cross workers and military personnel, the mailing of letters must discontinue. However, the mailing of packages will continue, but only under strict guidelines. The packages must be packed, sealed and shipped by Red Cross workers. Locally the items must be shipped by November 26th to ensure the packages will be delivered for the upcoming holidays. Some of the items needed include greeting cards, Christmas trees, stocking stuffers, writing paper, pens, toiletry items, videos, cd`s, small board games and paperback books. Every package received makes a tremendous difference in the life and morale of our deployed service members.
