McKinly Veteran's Day

Elementary students celebrated Veterans Day by meeting some real life heroes. McKinly Elementary School in Joplin held a celebration to honor the veterans of past wars. The students sang songs, pledged allegiance and listened to war time stories from the veterans. Lunch was served afterwards and the children got to eat and ask all kinds of questions to the veterans. Even superintendent Jim Simpson played the fiddle for the students in the assembly. More activities are planned for tomorrow.
