Machine Shop Fire in Seneca

A fire in a busy downtown business district causes extensive damage. The blaze broke out just before noon in downtown Seneca. The fire apparently started in Herb`s Wheelhorse Machine Shop and quickly spread next door to Papazono`s Pizza Restaurant. When fire units arrived, the machine shop was fully engulfed in flames. It took several hours to bring the blaze completely under control. Fire units from Wyandotte, Neosho and Redings Mill assisted Seneca firefighters. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
