Updated: January 7, 2009
The verdict is in on the case of a former Newton County jailer accused of sexual misconduct. 22-year-old Josh Ulbrich faced a charge of sodomy for allegedly assaulting a female inmate on January 22nd of last year. But yesterday a Barry County jury found him not guilty. However, Ulbrich still faces a sexual assault charge involving another female inmate that allegedly took place on January 17th at the jail in Neosho. Newton County prosecutors say they are considering additional charges. No date has been set for that trial. The case was moved to Barry County on a change of venue.
