Shooting Victim's Husband Not Happy

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
The husband of a Craig County shooting victim says the state is not doing enough to prevent such a shooting from happening again. Deanna Dorsey was shot by a former mental patient at the Craig General Hospital in Vinita, Oklahoma back in October. Her husband Dale Dorsey says he thinks the state is minimizing the seriousness of the situation. He believes part of the problem stems from mentally ill patients being able to purchase handguns. Dorsey says he would like to see a law passed that would prevent this. The Department of Mental Health`s Consumer Advocacy Division conducted a review of the incident, but those results have not yet been released.
