A Northeast Oklahoma man learns his fate. Shawn Hamblin entered a guilty plea to charges of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, and first-degree burglary. Investigators say Hamblin broke into Ralph Bryant`s Delaware County home back in February. Then used a kitchen knife to slash the elderly victim`s face and throat. Today Hamblin was sentenced to seven years of supervised probation on each count. He must also undergo a drug and alcohol assessment program, undergo a psychiatric evaluation and pay nearly $1,100 in court costs. Bryant died recently from cancer.
