By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Many area communities already have an annual Springtime Festival. Soon you may be able to add Joplin to that list. Joplin area residents interested in making that happen gathered at the Joplin Chamber of Commerce today. Missouri Southern Political Science Professor Tom Simpson says there is a lot of interest in the topic. Tom Simpson - Mssc Professor "There are lots of questions that accompany that decision what we`re trying to do today is put some shape and form to that general idea we`d like to have a festival and its difficult work that`s what we`re spending the day trying to discover and figure out." Among the decisions to be made is an exact date for the festival, a theme, where to hold the event and who will organize it. The group plans to meet again on the subject at a later date.
