Updated: January 7, 2009
At a time when the economy seems to be taking a down turn, one Four State community gathers together to celebrate a huge economic accomplishment. The new YMCA in Neosho opened its doors today for the first time to the public. After nearly two years of planning and construction the $4.5 million facility began taking memberships this morning. Workouts will begin Monday morning at the 42,000 square foot facility situated near Crowder College in Newton County. Money to build the facility came from local companies and individuals.
