Missouri No-Call List Update

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Missouri lawmakers say they`re happy with the state`s no-call list, but Attorney General Jay Nixon has some criticisms. A new report from a Missouri House Panel recommends no major changes be made to the state`s popular no-call law, which prohibits telemarketers from calling Missourians who register for a no-call list. Nixon wants lawmakers to close loopholes in the law. He says nine out of ten complaints from consumers are made against three kinds of companies, telephone, finance and insurance. Each of those industries are currently exempt from the law.
