A new map of Missouris legislative districts means some voters will have new state representation for the next decade. A commission has finally approved a new map for the 34-member senate and the house. In the immediate area the boundary lines for the 32nd District Senate seat have been redrawn. The district will now include Jasper, Newton and Dade Counties. McDonald County has been shifted to another district. It becomes part of the 29th Senate District, which also includes five other counties in Southwest Missouri. Both the house and senate plans put some incumbents in the same districts but none of those incumbents will have to face each other next year.
