Barry County Assault Case

Officers respond to a case of attempted sexual assault near a Four-State high school. Deputies responded to the scene at Cassville High School where a 17-year old girl reported that while driving to school, a male subject displayed a weapon at her and demanded sexual favors. She was able to gain control of the situation and arrive at the school unharmed. 38-year old Buford McKelvy was later arrested near Eagle Rock, Missouri and charged with first-degree assault. He is being held on a $100,000.
