Riggs Wrongful Death Lawsuit

The family of a man who died in a Four State nursing has reached a settlement in a wrongful death lawsuit. The family of Rex Riggs announced today it has reached an agreement with Beverly Enterprises. Riggs checked into the Beverly Health Care Center in Neosho in September 1999. The family believes his death one month later was due to the staff`s neglect. Twenty specific state regulation violations were cited by the Riggs family in the lawsuit. The 57-year old Riggs died of complications from a gangrene infection in his abdomen.
