Trism Files for Bankruptcy Protection

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Bankruptcy protection may not mean a loss of jobs for a local Four State trucking firm. For the second time in two years, Trism Incorporated has filed for bankruptcy. The Duenweg-based Tri State Motor Transit is part of Trism. In filing for protection, Trism company officials say several factors led to their decision, including high fuel costs, and reduced shipping demand. Trism declared a nine million dollar loss in the third quarter. Company officials say nothing should change for the employees who work at the Duenweg office.
