Ottawa County Semi Accident

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Traffic stops for over two hours this afternoon after another accident at a dangerous under-pass. The railroad tracks over Highway 69 near Quapaw prove dangerous once again. This time, two semis collided as one slowed trying to make the low clearance. The second truck carrying fly dust, a powder used to make concrete, swerved to miss the slowed semi and hit a pillar of the over pass. Officials from the railroad company were on hand to ensure the structure had not been damaged and could still carry the weight of passing trains. Only minor injuries were associated with accident.
