Pittsburg Drug Busts

An undercover operation has resulted in a host of drug related arrests in southeast Kansas. A four month long investigation by the Crawford County Drug Task Force has lead to a total of 13 arrests. 11 adults from Pittsburg, one juvenile from Pittsburg and one adult from Parsons have been taken into custody. Crawford County Sheriff Sandy Horton says a small amount of drugs and drug paraphernalia were recovered from two houses in Pittsburg. One at 702 North Elm, the other at 206 East Adams Street. Horton says more arrests could take place in the future. He says a total of 41 officers from the area have taken part in the operation, which began at 6:00 a.m. this morning.
