A multi-million dollar expansion project gets underway in Pittsburg. A new addition to the Mt. Carmel Regional Medical Center will focus on care for the elderly. Hospital employees broke ground on the $12 million dollar project this afternoon. The Cornerstone Village will house over 100 senior citizens living in the area. It will be the first retirement community of its kind in the Pittsburg area. Plans call for completion of the project in just over one year.
