Trooper Poynter Laid to Rest

Hundreds of law-enforcement officials were on hand today the funeral of a highway patrol trooper. 27-year-old Kelly Poynter was struck by a pickup early Friday while directing traffic in Texas County after another accident. Poynter`s funeral was held this afternoon at Kenneth Cowan Civic Center in Lebanon. Poynter was buried at the Mount Rose Cemetery.
