Holiday Credit Hangover

The season of giving has passed and many Americans are now finding it difficult to pay for their generosity over the holidays. The real ghost of Christmas, it turns out, is the credit card statement. Because of that, credit-counseling agencies are reporting brisk business. Families are coming in with their bills, wondering how they`re going to cope with their holiday credit hangover. The typical household charged about $1,150 between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Instead of skimping on your payments, experts suggest trimming the household budget and focus on paying off your holiday expenses by May.
