Carpino Back in Court

A former Four State elected county official was back in the courtroom today. Sharon Carpino appeared in Cherokee County, Kansas District Court. The hearing dealt with drug charges brought against her while Carpino was Cherokee County Treasurer more than a year ago. Todays hearing was a continuance from a hearing on January 11th. Attorney`s argued the admission of evidence on the drug charges. Defense attorneys claim Carpino was cohersed into making a statement to police. Carpino will return to court on February 22nd.
