Prescription Drug Abuse Become a Problem

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Abusing prescription drugs with or without a prescription has become a problem across the US and in the Four States. Abusers forge doctors names, signatures or do whatever is necessary to get their drug of choice. The anti-anxiety drug, Xanax, has become popular among abusers. Pharmacists say the only way to stop people from prescription drug fraud is to call and verify suspicious prescriptions. Glenn Lee - Registered Pharmacist "I try to call and verify it from the doctor and if the doctor says they didn`t then I tell the patient when they come in that the doctors says they didn`t." If you get caught forging prescriptions, you could spend up to 7 years in jail.
