Routine Stop Turns Into Meth Bust

One man is taken into custody after authorities find toxic material in his vehicle. The incident happened just after 5:00pm Friday evening at the corner of 20th and Duquesne Street in Duquesne. Officers says they that they stopped a dark mini van. Upon arrival to the van, officers say the driver was acting strange. When the authorities searched the van, they found large amounts of hydrous ammonia and other hazardous material that are often used in making methamphetamines. A Hazmat crew was on hand to remove the toxic material. The driver of the van has been taken into custody. His name has not yet been released.
