Updated: January 7, 2009
While Four State residents continue mourning the death of Jasper County Clerk Jim Lobbey, preparations are underway to find his replacement. This morning, a letter was sent to Missouri Governor Bob Holden informing him of Mr. Lobbey`s passing. Next, both the democratic and republican committees will meet to decide on candidates they would like to see take the vacant clerk`s position for the remaining 11 months. Those names will then be submitted to Governor Holden for his final decision. No word yet on what the timetable for when Lobbey`s replacement will be named.
