Man Faces Child Endangerment Charges

A northeast Oklahoma man is facing child endangerment charges after fleeing the scene of an accident. 38-year old Edwin Wright of Bernice Oklahoma is being held in the Ottawa County Jail. Investigators say the accident happened last weekend on Ottawa County Road 620. Police say a 5-year-old girl in the car Wright was driving suffered minor injuries, but following the accident Wright allegedly ran from the scene and was later found by state troopers. Wright is also facing misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence.
