Air Pollution More Harmful

Exposure to air pollution may be more harmful than we thought. New reports say air pollution can alter heart rates in young, seemingly healthy people. Researchers studied forty men who wore monitors to measure their heart rates and particulate air pollution. With increases in particulates in the air, the variability of their heart rates went down. Researchers say decreases in heart rate variability are associated with several dangerous heart conditions.
