Zoning Board Meeting Appointments

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
A Four-State county looks to re-zone its rural areas to regulate unwanted industrial growth. One week ago, Ottawa County commissioners appointed a committee to look into rezoning the county`s rural districts. The proposal came after Arkansas based Simmon`s Foods wanted to build 90 chicken houses in the community of Narcissa. Tuesday night, the nine member zoning committee met for the first time. The committee named Mark Rindell as its chairman and Hubert Spencer Junior will serve as vice chair, and Norm Youngbird will maintain secretarial duties. No word yet on when the rezoning committee plans to meet again.
