Local Area Robbery Report

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Officials are investigating a connection between three armed robberies in the Four-State area. The most recent robbery was Tuesday night at the McDonalds restaurant on Main Street in Joplin. Officials say Joplin investigators are looking into the possibility that the robbery was connected to two robberies last week in Pittsburg, Kansas. Pittsburg Police say the Western Sizzlin` Steakhouse and the Dairy Queen restaurant were robbed with 15 minutes of each other on February 13th. In both cases, witnesses say the robber was wearing a black leather jacket, blue jeans and white shoes. In all three cases, the robber had a similar description of just under six-feet tall with a stocky build. If you have any information, you are urged to contact your local police department.
