Updated: January 7, 2009
Radiologists and doctors at Saint Johns will now be able to communicate concerns to patients better. New 3-D visualization technology will allow doctors to view patients CT and MR Scans in 3-D color. These detailed images will provide surgeons with a road map to assess spatial relationships and pinpoint potential problems prior to surgery. Dr. Curt Hammerman says the procedure is much faster and less invasive than past procedures. Hammerman also says there is less risk involved because all that is needed is a simple iv-injection to be able to process the images.
