New Window Tinting Law

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
A series of new laws go into effect in the Show Me State. Among them, a new law on legal window tinting and that has motorists and manufacturers unhappy. The law requires motorists who choose to tint their windows to use 35% film on all windows. The former law only required 35% film on the drivers and passenger side windows with no limitations on rear windows. Captain Tony Coleman with the Jasper County Sheriff`s Department says the new mandate is a safety issue for both motorists and police officers. Captain Coleman says drivers will be given a period of grace to replace any tint to meet the new law.
