Empire Planning to Sell Stock

If you`ve ever thought about buying stock in a local utility you might soon have your chance. Empire District Electric Company has announced plans to sell up to $50-million dollars worth of stock shares later in the spring. Subject to market and other conditions, the stocks could be available as early as June. Proceeds from the sale of the stock are expected to be used to repay outstanding debt and for general corporate purposes.
