breaking news
One Four-State school is trying a different approach to teaching students. The Miami School Board has approved a trimester schedule for the high school. Instead of the school year being divided into two semesters, it will now consist of three equal 60-day periods. Students will take five classes a day, which each last 70 minutes, instead of seven, 50 minutes classes. All breaks, including Christmas and spring break will still coincide with other schools in the district. The trimester schedule will go into effect for the 2002 - 2003 school year.
