Update on Fort Scott Teacher

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
The Fort Scott School District puts plans in motion to end biology teacher Randy Carters employment with the school. The move comes after Randy Carter is charged in the county with multiple felonies. He is accused of video taping young girls in his home as they use a tanning bed. The first step in the termination process involves notifying Carter of the boards decision. He will be given until the 22nd to contest the termination. Before Carter can officially be fired, the board must meet with hearing officer who will make the final determination about his employment. In the mean time, Carter remains suspended from the school district but still receives a salary. He earns $50,000 a year working as a biology teacher and coach in the Fort Scott School District.
