Some smaller Missouri airports will soon see some improvements. Almost 50 airports will receive more than $13-million dollars in federal grants. The money will help with work on maintenance and improvement projects. Locally the airport in Neosho and the airport in Nevada will both receive funds. Both of the airports will receive $150,000 each. The grants are made possible through the US Department of Transportation. Officials say MoDOT will also be working with the state`s smaller airports on improved security measures.
