Roosevelt Elementary Re-Opens

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
After a year and a half of recovering and re-building, teachers begin moving into the new Roosevelt Elementary in Miami Oklahoma. After weeks of packing up their classrooms at the First Christan Church, the new classrooms are finally taking shape. The new two story building will serve as a permanent home for nearly 200 students. State of the art equipment and storage make the new building a silver lining to nearly two years of devastation. Back in November of 2000 the original 50-year-old building burned to the ground, leaving nothing behind. After starting from scratch, students will begin classes Monday, March 25th.
