The child death review board met this morning in the case of a Joplin baby who died late last week. 16-month-old Katelyn Janelle Smith was found by her mother Ashley Ritchhart. Green County Medical Examiner, Dr. James Spindler says Smith`s cause of death was malnutrition and dehydration. The review board is required to meet after a child under 14 years of age dies of unnatural causes. Officials say the investigation into the baby`s death is far from over. No charges have been filed in this case.
