Bears Waive Kahlil Bell 8/23/12

By: Peter Fleischer
Updated: August 23, 2012
The Chicago Bears waived running back Kahlil Bell this afternoon after Bell refused to take a pay cut. Bell appeared in 13 games last season, including three starts, after starting running back Matt Forte went down with an injury.

The Chicago Tribune is reporting that the team asked Bell to take a pay cut of over $526k. The team strengthened its running back corps this off-season with the signing of proven veteran Matt Bush and the re-signing of Forte.

Bell ran for 337 yards and a touchdown for Chicago last season.
