McCown Among Final Cuts

LAKE FOREST, IL - The Chicago Bears have acquired CB Sherrick McManis from the Houston Texans today in exchange for FB Tyler Clutts.

McManis has appeared in 23 games over two seasons with Houston after being selected by the Texans in the fifth round (144th overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft. The 6-1, 193-pound corner out of Northwestern had two tackles and one interception with the Texans. On special teams, McManis had 16 tackles, 11 kickoff returns for 230 yards (20.9 ypr) and a forced fumble.

The Bears have also waived the following players:
