Packers Sack Bears 9/13/12

Green Bay, Wisconsin-So much for the Bears improved offense. It was nowhere to be seen Thursday night in Green Bay. The Bears lost to the Packers 23-10.

The offense struggled from start to finish. Jay Cutler was sacked seven times, and he was intercepted four times. He showed his frustration multiple times yelling at his teammates and in particular left tackle J'Marcus Webb.

Clay Matthews Jr. set the tone for the Packers defense. He accounted for 3.5 sacks. The Bears didn't reach the endzone until 6:49 remained in the game. That's when Cutler found tightend Kellen Davis down the middle from 21 yards out.

The Packers were exactly clicking on offense either. Aaron Rodgers was sacked five times. The Packers got their first touchdown on a fake field goal. Holder Tim Masthay shoveled the ball to Tom Crabtree who ran almost untouched from 27 yards out. That was with under two minutes to play in the first half, and it gave the Packers a 10-0 lead.

The Packers second touchdown came in the fourth quarter when Rodgers completed a 26 yard pass to Donald Driver.

Brandon Marshall's first game in this rivalry was a quiet one. He had only two receptions for 24 yards.

The Packers have now won five straight games over the Bears.
